As professional horse photographers, using our experience photographing horses, together with our knowledge and understanding of lighting techniques, we are able to produce a stunning style of studio horse photography. The photographic techniques we use, enable us to capture the shape, form and personality of your horse, in a unique way. The end result is a photograph that almost has an "oil painting" look to it, reminiscent of the old masters. Bringing our mobile studio to you, we use a large canvas backdrop and the best studio lighting, to create amazing photographic images of you and your horse.
This horse loved the studio environment, and constantly seemed to pose for the cameras
Capturing the character and personality of your horse........and your dog can even join in!
We spend some time with you and your horse, before our studio horse photo shoots, introducing the horse to the camera equipment, and letting it get used to the sight and sound of everything.
Horses do not appear to be bothered by the studio flash lighting, as they do not see light the same way as we do. In fact they are generally fascinated by all the activity, and love being the centre of attention.

Our studio horse photography can show any horse at its very best.
This beautiful horse stands proud in front of our large canvas back drop
Subtle lighting produces a beautiful atmosphere in this head shot of a chestnut horse
Black and white photographs can also work well in a studio setting with your horse
For this studio horse photo shoot we were asked to photograph 2 horses, plus their 2 owners, plus a dog which had come from a rescue centre, only 2 days earlier! We love a challenge, and have all the patience in the world.
As you can see, the end result was fantastic.
The lighting in this photo shows every detail antd texture of this grey horse with it's winter coat
Studio horse photography is ideally done indoors, so that we are able to control the light to give the best results. The amount of room that we require depends on the size of the horse, and whether you want to be photographed riding it. Ideally the height of the background should be at least 60cm (2 feet) above the horses ears, or your head if you are riding, and around 12 metres from the camera to the background. Indoor menages make great studios, but we can use any large indoor space. If you don't have an indoor space, other options are still possible, so please contact us to discuss.
